Show Truck Driver

Key Role and Responsibilities

  • Driving the truck to customer events
  • Set up/prepare Trailer /for customer demo
  • Technical maintenance of the truck
  • Track and manage mileage and Fuel cost
  • Customer service and care during the shows and many other tasks concerning the truck, the tours and the events.
  • Occasionally help at the shows (e.g. with the product tests)
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and maneuver 50+ lbs. This position requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching
     

Qualification for the Job

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid Class A CDL driver’s license – Required.
  • Must pass criminal Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
  • One year of experience driving a commercial vehicle with like equipment or a diploma from an accredited truck driving school is required within the last five years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and think quickly to identify/solve customer concerns.
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
     

Physical Requirements

  • Fast-paced environment sometimes requiring irregular and long hours.
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying temperatures.
  • Ability to perform functions during occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, and finger activities.
  • Upload, deliver, and download safely to customer’s hard goods orders as well as cylinders containing compressed gasses; return empty cylinders to the plant for refilling.
  • Establish and maintain good customer relations, by communicating in person with customers, providing information on cost, ordering and delivery times, etc.
  • Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
  • Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
  • Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain appropriate drivers’ licenses and endorsements.
     

Compensation

Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience including base salary and bonus opportunity.
