Vision

Innovations and new technologies form the foundation for economic progress and future prosperity. In a country that traditionally depends on the dynamics of scientific and technological progress, success can only be ensured if the future demand for skilled workers is guaranteed together with other location prerequisites.
Megatopics such as digitalization, energy, mobility and smart high-tech products now form an integral part of all aspects of our day-to-day lives. They not only affect our work, but also dominate in particular leisure and consumer behavior today. The foundation thus aims to play a key role in helping children and young people to find their way in this rapidly changing environment from an early stage, while remaining open to technological innovations, and learning to deal with these changes responsibly.

Mission

Our actions are based on the entrepreneurial and social values of the founders Margit and Theo Düppre. Their foundation promotes STEM subjects in science, research and education in the greater Kaiserslautern region. Support includes vocational training and further education, higher education and general education. In collaboration with local and regional educational facilities as well as through other targeted projects and initiatives, we aim to encourage children and young people to take an interest in the STEM subjects of mathematics, IT, natural sciences and technology. We aim to spark and nurture their interest, curiosity and learning at an early age.

“By establishing the Wipotec Foundation, Theo Düppre is sending a strong signal for responsible corporate management, social commitment and the promotion of future generations.”

— Dr. Werner Schmitz, CFO Wipotec
