2025 German Cycling Championships – Speed meets precision
The 2025 German Road Cycling Championships, held from June 27 to 29 in Ramstein and Linden, were all about top performance, team spirit, and precision – values that Wipotec also stands for as presenting sponsor. As the namesake and supporter of this top national cycling event, we provided the perfect setting – both in terms of sport and organization.

The Races

The start of the event: the individual time trial
The individual time trial kicked things off on Friday. On a challenging circuit, Germany's fastest riders proved that speed and technique are inextricably linked.
Result: Maximilian Schachmann (Soudal–Quick-Step) won his first elite title against the clock in a commanding race. In the women's race, Antonia Niedermaier (Canyon–SRAM) triumphed with impressive consistency and strength – also her first title in this discipline.
Confident title defense in the women's race
The women's road race over 120 kilometers took place on Saturday. Franziska Koch (Team dsm–firmenich PostNL) put in an outstanding performance, defending her title in impressive style with a determined solo effort on the final climb.
Antonia Niedermaier, who had already won the time trial, secured a strong double podium finish with second place. Rosa Klöser, who had already surprised everyone with seventh place in 2024, rewarded herself with the bronze medal this year.

Heat, tactics, triumph: the men's road race
On Sunday, the 197.5-kilometer route around Linden demanded everything from the riders in midsummer conditions. At around 12:15 p.m., the starting signal was given for the classic event in the German cycling calendar.
In a thrilling race, Georg Zimmermann (Intermarché–Wanty) narrowly beat Felix Engelhardt after a tough duel in the final kilometers and celebrated his first German road championship title.
Anton Schiffer, rider for the Continental team Bike Aid, surprised everyone with a strong performance and completed the podium in third place—a respectable achievement for the young team.
